Do you have the PediPaws Pet Nail Trimmer?

Does it work?

A friend of mine bought one and it is pretty much useless. They are basically underpowered Dremels with a 'guard'. The guard gets in the way when you are trying to round off the tip and I personally think that it makes 'quicking' the dog more likely because you can't see how far down you are grinding. They are also very very slow and noisier than a Dremel.

However, a standard cordless Dremel from a hardware store, fitted with a small sanding drum, works great! It quickly grinds them down, is easy to maneuver, fairly quiet, and none of my pets mind it at all (but most hated their nails being clipped). I use it on both my dogs and all of my rabbits. I would highlyr ecommend it.

Mine doesn't like it either. SHe probably doesn't like the sound & vibrations of the motor. I try to get mine used to it my putting it up to her nails while it's turned off, then ease her up to the sound by turning it on before putting it up to her nails. In order to get her used to the pressure applied to her nails, I push on her nails any time she lays near me. This seems to help the most.

Very few plants respond well to being very wet, and also lots respond very badly to being very dry. So the bonsai gardener must be very aware of this. Any bonsai that is neglected and not looked after properly will soon perish.

Growing your own bonsai is the least expensive option when starting out. Plants are free if grown from seed or cuttings, and to start with any normal plant pot will suffice to grow it in. The downside of this route however is the amount of time needed to see results.

When buying an established bonsai, expect to pay more for older trees. These will have been nurtured and brought along as you would hope to do yourself, so the older the plant, generally speaking the more expensive it will be.

When taking this direction, buy the best tree you can afford and treat it as well as you would a good friend.

Also bear in mind that buying your bonsai from a professional dealer, who will offer you good advice is always advisable. Good specimens are not cheap, after all a lot of care and attention has to be taken for them to thrive.

But as with all things in life, you get what you pay for. But if you can find a nice tree, that will do well in the conditions you can provide, you will be rewarded with years of pleasure.

Specialist bonsai tools are available which make the bonsai hobbyists job easier.

A pair of sturdy, and very sharp scissors are the number one priority. These will be used for cutting through roots which can be very fibrous and tough.

A smaller pair of scissors will be needed for cutting shoots and also for pruning. These must be sharp. Nail or surgical scissors are ideal.

A pair of tweezers will also be required for various jobs such as weeding pots, and debugging!

But everyday household tools can be substituted for these if funds are tight.

The art of Bonsai is a very rewarding hobby. A beautiful bonsai is more than just a tree, it is evocative of the tranquility and perfection of nature.

The most important thing to consider when buying boxing shoes is comfort. Think of the footwork and jumping around that they will need to put up with. If past shoes have hurt your feet, figure out why- Were they lacking padding or were they too rigid? Everyone's a little bit different in what they prefer so do your research but in the end, go with your instinct. Don't second guess yourself. So what should you research? Aside from comfort, you should consider safety, breathability, and traction.

Shock Absorption and Support Straps:

When evaluating a boxing shoe for safety, the major things to look for are shock absorption, and support straps. Many shoes have a shock absorbing mid-sole to take some of the shock away from your joints and to provide some added comfort. Some of the more advanced boxing shoes will have support straps near the arch of your foot to help the shoe conform the shape of your foot. This creates more cushion and less slippage.

Breathability and Venting:

Many shoes have breathable air vents, sometimes on all sides, to avoid excessive sweat buildup. If you finish your workout and your shoes are very wet, you're most likely suffocating your feet. You lose more than half your body heat between your feet and your head and when your boxing heavily, effective cooling is an important thing to consider so you don't overheat. Many brush over breathability but for this reason, it's a good idea to consider it.

Traction:

Last but not least is traction. Think of all the crazy footwork you put the shoes through- You really should look for boxing shoes that have a rubber sole and have some type of anti-slip pattern so you can ensure you won't slip during quick cuts and rapid footwork.

High vs. Low Top Shoes:

Many ask whether they should get high top or low top shoes. If you're not a kick boxer, this is really just preference. Kick boxers, definitely get a high top boxing shoe or boot to protect your ankles and shins.

Comfort over Looks:

Leather looks good but make sure there is cushion or padding between you and the boxing shoe. Sweaty skin against leather might very well be the worst feeling in the world. Same for zippers- make sure the zipper is not directly against your skin. Other than that; black, white, gold, silver, special designs, high top vs. low top; it's totally up to you. Be safe, be comfortable, be slipfree, be great.

To protect a business name within your industry, you would apply for a trademark.

Trademarks can be names of products or services, logos, slogans, packaging and even sounds and smells. In essence, a trademark can be almost anything that is used to identify a particular product or service. Registering a trademark grants the owner exclusive rights to the mark within the specified industry.

Of course, it's necessary to research the mark comprehensively prior to filing to ensure that there is no possibility of infringing upon another party.

This entails searching the pending & registered Federal and State trademark files as well as the US National Common-Law files. Then, if clear, you can decide if you would like to file for a Federal or a State trademark.

To register a trademark, that's done either through your Secretary of State for a State trademark or the US Patent & Trademark Office for a Federal trademark.

If you are only conducting business in one state, then a State trademark is most appropriate. If you conduct (OR are planning to conduct) business in at least 2 states OR between the US & any other country, you can file for a Federal trademark.

Exterior French doors can be double doors that open to the inside or outside, or it can be the folding type, or sliding type. We construct a house to protect ourselves from everything that is bad about nature. Blazing sun, freezing snow, whipping winds, and drenching rains are things we do not want to be subjected to. Likewise, nobody is keen on having insects like mosquitoes or houseflies for company. A house is a protection against all these that we do not want. But when the walls of a home blocks all these, it blocks many other things along with it. Exterior French doors are an antidote to this total blocking.

Solid doors and walls of a house block the bright sunlight, the greenery around, the flowers, the butterflies and other things we might miss from the outside world. Exterior French doors let us view all this in comfort, by opening the house straight into the lap of nature. In other words, French doors allow selective blocking, by letting us take in what we need and keep out what we don't require. Exterior French doors and patio door are similar in appearance. Theoretically, the difference is that patio doors are sliding ones whereas French doors are double opening doors that open either to the outside or to the inside. However, French doors are nowadays available as sliding ones, sliding and folding ones, and also as those opening to the outside or inside.

Though Exterior French doors are see-through things, it does not detract anything from the security provisions of a home. High security hinges used within them offer protection from tampering, and all house owners use restrictor hinges to prevent the Exterior French doors from being opened by a strong wind.

It is true that Exterior French doors leave much of the house open to public scrutiny. While it could be considered a minor invasion of privacy, there is another way of looking at it as well. Who are we talking about?

Anyone can put on a ghillie suit and do a fair job of concealment. Those who pay attention to detail will do a much better job of concealment. You will find that as you pay more attention to detail, a lot more detail appears that needs attention.

The first detail to pay attention to is your ghillie suit itself. It may look great just hanging there empty, but when you insert your body into it, things get distorted and gaps may appear. Make good use of a full length mirror and a good friend to find places that need a little help. Keep some extra thread on hand and fill these places with thread or leaves or rags or whatever is called for. The improvement of your suit should be an ongoing affair. Bulk it up over time by adding more thread and in colors that will enhance its effectiveness.

Once you are semi-satisfied with how it looks in the mirror, take it outside along with the aforementioned friend and a video camera. You can see your shortcomings on the video as you and said friend talk about it over beer and nachos. These tactics will most likely be scoffed at by the hard-core military types since they have been trained to do all this on the fly under somewhat trying conditions. Lesser mortals may take their time and have their friends critique their progress over beer and nachos.

In the field, remember you are trying to imitate a bush. You have to overcome the fact that even with a ghillie suit on, you have protrusions that scream to the world that you are a fearsome two-legged beast. Some ghillie suits are made in one piece that covers from head to feet and therefore conceals your two-leggedness. Other suits are jacket and pants sets and you will have to take the advice your Mother gave your sister. Keep your legs together.

The problem of the head sticking up out of the bush is easily overcome by vegging out the area between the top of your head and the outside of the shoulders.

Another little detail is the shine from your smiling face. Frowning doesn't help. It still shines. Facepaint and a veil should stop that little worry. Don't forget the hands at this point.

There are two schools of thought on movement. I will point them out and leave them for beer and nacho discussions. One thought suggests that you imitate the movements of the big cats on a stalk. Quick, short moves with total stillness in between. Another says to imitate the movements of the sloth. Slow, fluid, and continuous. I suggest experimenting and using what works best for you.

One detail you should never forget and be creative in finding answers for. Peter Pan may have lost his shadow, but you are not going to be able to do that. Just be aware that it is always there and learn to work with it. Whenever possible, merge your shadow with another.

All the while ask yourself if you are blending in. Are you the only "green" bush in an area full of brown bushes?

The color doesn't matter for hunters, but paintballers and other war game folks should pay heed.

Choose your ghillie suit according to the activity you have planned for it. A paintballer is going to need a lot more mobility than a hunter under most circumstances. While a full body poncho is great for a still hunt, it might be overly restrictive to a hyperactive paintball warrior. The warriors will need a jacket and pants set or in some cases, a head and shoulders poncho.

The more you put into your suit, the more you'll get out of it.
