Dog clothing is extremely hot this season. One can't help noticing the rise in celebrities with fashionable small dogs at their side. With a sea of dog clothes, it's hard to know what dog clothes are in and what dog clothes, as Hillary Duff's Dachshund would say, are "so yesterday". Legally Blonde's Chihuahua, Bruiser, set the standard in dog fashion while dogs like Paris Hilton's dog, Tinkerbell, keeps raising the bar higher and higher. I think their is an important fact to remember when dressing up your dog this season. Let your dog be a dog. As much as it makes us happy to dress them up, we have to make sure the dog clothes are functional and keep their best interest at heart. That said, here are the must haves for any pampered pooches closet.

Every small dog must have a small dog sweater this season. They are functional in that they keep the tiny and toy breeds warm, like Chihuahuas and miniature Pinsher yet fashionable as they showcase your dog's explosive personality. Dog Sweaters are mostly hand made and come in a plethora of variations. Just pick a small dog sweater that says who your little precious dog is and you can't go wrong. A holiday dog sweater is a must have this season. This year let your dog "deck the halls" in a Christmas tree dog sweater or a solid red or green small dog sweater.

Another must have in my opinion is a dog coat. This is especially true to those dogs in colder climates. Dog coats have come far from some random unattractive pieces of material sewn together. There are raincoats, fleece dog coats, sweat shirts and even leather dog coats. Find a dog jacket or small dog coat that is both functional and fashionable. If you'd like to dress up a long hair breed like a Shih-Tzu or Terrier try accessorising them. Contrary to what you see on "celebrity dogs" bows are not the most comfortable thing you could put on a dog. Detailed bandannas are in this season and are much more comfortable than bows. Another way to dress up your little one is with a beautiful dog collars and leash.

This season, think leather. A leather collar is a classic. Most importantly, remember this season is about dog fashion, not about breaking the bank. There's no reason why you should pay over $30 for any of the items mentioned. Even though clothing for dogs are small and detailed, they're relatively inexpensive to make. Don't be fooled by stores trying to make you pay a hundred or even hundreds of dollars for these miniature pieces of dog clothing. As I said, dog clothes need to be functional. Dogs need to be dogs, not art pieces or accessories. One has to understand dogs don't understand the value of the piece of dog clothing you have bought them. Don't be surprised when they tear up the rhinestone encrusted dog sweater you were duped into buying. This season be smart and have fun. Use dog clothes and dog fashion to highlight the love of your life's personality.

By now everyone has seen or heard about the show Hoarders – but even if you don't have a true psychological problem with holding onto rooms and rooms of junk, just about everyone has things that they either have been meaning to or really should get rid of. Typical places that we all stash these things away and out of sight (but never out of mind) are closets, basements, attics, garages and even under our beds. Additional places that often need a good clean out are cabinets, storage boxes/containers and shelves. By following a few easy steps and applying some general guidelines, de-cluttering your home can be very simple and extremely satisfying, especially when you are all finished.

First off, you need to take inventory, walk around your house or apartment and decide how much stuff you will potentially be throwing away – a good way to look at it is if you have a small amount, say 3-4 trash bags full with nothing large or bulky that needs disposal, then you can start right away and be done in a few hrs. If you have a medium amount, 3-7 trash bags and a few bulky items, you might want to consider renting a 10 yard dumpster from a local dumpster company. It takes the hassle out of multiple trips to the disposal center or trying to bag everything up in a way that your curbside service will take it. If you have more than this, you definitely need to rent a dumpster. Your local dumpster company can help you determine how large of a dumpster you might need, based on your larger items, so just ask for their help. Additionally, you should consider that some of the things, especially larger items, might be worth something and either find a charity of a consignment shop to bring them to. The Salvation Army will often come to your home and pick up larger items that they think they might be able to sell in one of their stores.

The next step is to map out a game plan, which room needs the most help? This is where you should start! Dive right in and then each room thereafter will seem easier and easier. Don't forget about recyclable material – go online to your local municipality and print out the list of exactly what you can put in a bin to be recycled. It is the responsible thing to do for the planet and might make you feel a bit better knowing that things will be reused to make new things in the future. Mark a large bin or plastic trash can for this purpose and tape the recyclable items list to the front as a reminder. Everything else can be loaded into a wheeling trash can and when full, easily wheeled outside to be emptied into your rented dumpster (or tied up and put out on the curb for the garbage truck).

Things you are going to keep should be categorized, but not necessarily put away – it is often helpful to get all the junk out first before tackling the job of organizing and finding homes for the things that you want to keep. This is also a great time to dust, vacuum and wash windows as you will be moving things around and stirring up the dust anyhow.

If you have a hard time deciding to save or to toss, make a "maybe" pile – then once you have finished with the room, take a break, grab a glass of water and a snack and think about those items – then go back and make your decisions. The general rule of thumb is that if you haven't used it in 6 months or more and/or you didn't remember that you even had it, you don't need it – toss it in your dumpster or give it away. Once all of this is finished you will be left with a sense of accomplishment and a clearer head (not to mention a cleaner living space)! "Less is more" as the old saying goes, so get to work.

There are two ways of printing a shirt. The first one, and the widely known of the two, is the screen printing method. The other one is the direct-to-garment printing.

Direct-to-garment printing is notable for its use of home printers instead of professional printing equipment that costs quite a lot of dollars to buy. It is touted as the cheapest alternative to screen printing and is quite simple to do. First, you print out the design you want put on the T-shirt on a special type of printing paper, and then you iron it to the shirt. That's it, you're done.

Because of its simplicity, direct-to-garment printing is preferred by most people to print their designs since they can reproduce photographs conveniently and easily without suffering a loss of quality or image clarity. It is also ideal for those that desire to print only a small amount of tee shirts since getting a professional printing service requires bulk orders of about a hundred shirts or more.

However, when you want to print out a lot of shirts, then direct-to-garment printing is definitely not your cup of tea. That is because for every shirt you print the design on, you have to print the design separately. That is time-consuming and, not to mention, expensive.

Screen printing, on the other hand, is ideal for this because they only need to use one screen for each design they need to print on each individual shirt. They only need to create one template for the design, and then they press the design right away on each shirt. You can compare screen printing services to the busy bees in your garden: they hover on one flower, grab their honey or pollen, and then they move on to the next flower. So, printers apply the design to one shirt, wait for it to be finished, and then they move on to the next.

What makes screen printing so expensive is the fact that their equipment for pressing is expensive. However, did you know that you could use your home printers to start a screen printing service?

Stenciling: That's the Key

The stencil, next to the screen, is the most important tool in screen printing. The stencil is the template for the design. It acts like a filter. The stencil has open and closed areas that allow the ink to pass through. The open areas follow the contour of the design. This way, the printing ink can pass through and take the shape of the design. All the other parts are made to block the printer ink from getting through the screen.

That's where your home printer comes in. One of the two ways of making a stencil is to cut out the design from any non-porous material and place it at the bottom of the screen. You can use your home printer to print out the design, cut it out from the paper, and reproduce the design on a non-porous material that you can use as a negative. You then cut out the design again from your negative, and you're all set to print it.

Are Citronella Anti-Bark Collars Safe?

I recently bought a Citronella Anti-Bark Collar for my Golden-Doodle and it has worked so far but I was curious about any harmful effects...Anyone have info?

Personally, I've found them to be ineffective on a long term basis and I have concerns over the long term effects of citronella being inhaled or shot into the eyes.

A lot of dogs figure out that the collar empties in about 25 barks... and a lot of dogs simply decide that the barking is worth the hassle of the citronella.

a brown snake striped with black attacking a dog?what does tha mean?

i dreamed that while i was walking down a familiar street i notice a light brown dog in the middle of the street lying down and behind him was a brown snake striped with black.all of a sudden the snake got high up in the air i started to siss at the dog.the dog began to run and the snake followed.

I think someone that you know has become a person that you can no longer trust and what made you realize that was possibly a conflict that jealousy arose from. Black is a color in dreams that means death, or feeling of doom. I recently dreamt of a black van in my dreams, so I had to look it up myself.
