Cool T-shirts become Cooler

Most t-shirts are just begging to be layered. First of all, layer t-shirts with each other. This looks especially hip with a cool t-shirt on top. They scream out to be layered with your favorite polos, long sleeved t-shirts, dress shirts and summer sweaters. Be ahead of the crowd and layer your t-shirts (for gals) with cool tanks and camis. Color is often key, so don't be afraid to layer lots of colorful t-shirts (but no more than two at a time, please.) Cut down on bulk (unless you are in need of bulk) and keep your layers light or of lighter-weight t-shirt fabrics. Another tip is to keep the first layer a little lighter in gauge than the one you are wearing overtop. If you long for a more athletic look (even if you are not so athletic), definitely try the long-sleeved t-shirt underneath a funny or vintage t-shirt. Tanks and Camis Rock in Layers

If you want to layer your tank underneath a layer, choose a thin-gauge tank. Guys and gals can wear a thin tank well under most anything, especially button-downs and polos. Play with your Polos

Layer under your polo or layer over your polo? Which do you prefer? Over the sportier, bolder polo a sport coat, jacket or blazer with a minimalist print or fabric pattern is best. Over a classic polo, you can get a bit more exotic with the design in your topper. Under your polo, the sky's the limit. We like to see color peeking out at the color, and not necessarily perfectly matching color. Keep the under t-shirt sleek and thin. Go for long or short sleeves. You are the stuff!

Kick it up a Notch: Shrugs, Cardigans and Sweaters

Dress things up a bit with layers under your shrug, cardigan or sweater for more formal occasions. Class, family events, dates, job hunting might be ideal for this layering style. Pick your pleasure and layer under it a more classic and tailored undershirt. Here it is usually best to keep your collar and cuffs under control and in place for a clean-cut, classic appearance. George resembled what he was--a sanitation engineer. He was the most outspoken, self-important, dirty individual that ever wielded a septic hose in Havashaw County. People wished that there was some form of grease stain removal program because George definitely needed to be gone. He would sit on the back of his rig, feet propped on the back bumper and a Stanley Home Products catalog six inches from his nose. He never paid attention to crinkling noses; he just sat their reading about Stanley Home Products while eating a sandwich.

He said that grease stain removal was his main occupation. People only called him out when they needed something cleaned desperately and it usually had to do with a drain that was beyond clogged. He would go in with his sump truck, suck out whatever was in there and then he would make sure that everything was draining correctly before he left. The reason people didn't like him was that he seemed to have an air of superiority about him that did not seem to go with the profession he had chosen.

He could have been something like a Stanley Home Products guy: walking the roads, delivering needed products to people, being respected. His dad had sold Stanley Home Products, but he had gone into sewage with his uncle and befuddled his father and the rest of the town. He said that he saw his uncle as a pretty respectable guy and he wanted to be just like him. This further confused the people because who wants to go into grease stain removal for a permanent occupation?

The reason he did it was a lot easier to understand if you understand his home life. His dad would come home from a few days or week on the road and act like he was happy to be back for a couple of days. Then he would start staying out later at night and after a few times staying out he would come home and beat George's mother. He would tell her that he was the grease stain remover and that she was the stain. He would berate her and then beat her physically.

So George after seeing this all of his young life, and knowing that his uncle had a happy home, decided that sewage was a better career choice. He just figured that there was something out there on the road that made his dad like that and he didn't want any part of it. He decided that he had the best job in town.

There are many ways that you can have identification on your dog besides the tradition dog collar tag.

The most important thing you can do for your dog if it was ever to get lost is to have a collar on it. If you dog were to escape having a dog collar or dog harness on would notify the person that found them that is it someone's pet.

Welcome to the second part of training your dog to "pay attention". Continue with the same protocol and after fifteen minutes, get down on one knee to your dog's level and untie the long-line from his collar, but don't remove the collar yet.

Just take a few moments to tell your dog what a great job he's doing. Give him a good pet on the head and talk to him in enthusiastic tone of voice. A good praise and a pat on the dog's head are all you need at this time to help shape his attitude for the next lessons that will follow.

Time For A Break

When you have finished your few minutes of praise, casually remove the training collar and give your dog a little privacy to take a break and think things over. Do not leave the training collar on your dog when he's unattended because the ring can snag objects and cause strangulation.

Your first fifteen minutes of training may have seemed unremarkable to you. However, if you followed the instructions accurately, your dog began to realize that when he's tied to you, he must move with you. If he failed to learn that on your first day, you can be sure that he'll learn it, and more, by the fourth day, since it takes the average dog four days to learn an average thing.

At the same time, your dog is going to learn something else that is equally important. He is going to learn that you have the ability to use sound judgment as well as demonstrating a will that's much stronger than his. Confidence and respect in your actions will begin to grow.

Day 2

Your second day of training should be same as the first day, except for the direction of your pattern. From your starting point the pattern could be the reverse of the day before, so that your dog will not know ahead of time which direction you intend to take.

Depending on your particular dog, you may or may not have struggles on your second day. If you do, handle it as you did the first day. Ignore all distractions and just walk!

Day 3

On the third day of training, even the most stubborn and uncooperative dog will begin to realize that nothing he does is going to deter your from going in the direction you want to go, and when you want to go. He will also realize that the line of least resistance is to follow you.

You will also notice, as you repeat the procedures of the first two days, that your dog will be watching you just a bit more closely. He is learning that he must move with his owner when on a leash. He has learned that you won't direct him of your intentions. And since he must move with you, there's only one way he'll be able to be aware of your movements, and that is to pay attention to you.
