What kind of bone is this? What is it from?

I was out tilling a garden by hand when I came across a peculiar shaped bone, it looks like it was broken, but I could find no other parts...I'm not sure what it would be...

It was found near the surface while I was digging, The general area being Midwest Ohio and In a small patch of forest/medow surrounded on the sides by field

I can't tell exactly what size those bones are, but they are definitely cheek teeth from a Cervid (deer family). I would guess white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus)

It results from accumulation of bacteria near the gum line, causing bacterial invasion into the tissues of the body. If not addressed and treated, gingivitis will lead to recession of the gums, bone loss, tooth loss, and systemic disease.

Gum disease is an inflammation of the soft tissue and abnormal loss of bone that surrounds the teeth and holds them in place. The disease is caused by toxins secreted by bacteria in plaque that builds up over time along the gum line. This plaque is a mixture of food, saliva and bacteria.

There are several causes of swollen gums. It may be a result of gingivitis, or gum disease. It could also be caused by malnutrition or not eating healthy meals. It could be a side effect of a prescription medication used to treat an underlying medical condition.

Essential oils, also known as plant oils, are known to help promote strong healthy gums. The essential oils of almond, peppermint and spearmint are known to be helpful in promoting good oral health. By using natural products, you reduce the chances of side effects or allergic reactions and are using products that have known to be successful in promoting good oral health for centuries.

Cranberry juice is recommended to help prevent bacteria from sticking to the teeth. Tea tree oil also has proven antibiotic properties. Several essential oils, which are from plants, are known for their benefit in oral health care. Among those beneficial oils are the essential oils of almond, peppermint and spearmint.

Practicing good oral health hygiene is essential in keeping teeth and gums healthy and avoiding swollen gums, infections and even gum disease. It is important to brush teeth regularly, at least twice each day. Teeth should also be flossed regularly and properly.

If gum disease is in severe condition, professional dental cleaning is necessary and this involves scaling and root planing. These procedures stop bacterial infection on its track by eliminating the bacteria that resides below the gum line and in deep pockets around the teeth.
