ya know the electric underground dog fencing ? would that work on a horse ?

A friend asked me that and i haven't stopped wondering bout it sense ..
im not gonna really do it im just wondering !!

Simply put dogs are smarter than horses and naturally territorial. Horses tend to be much more nomadic having a moving territory inside their home range. Thus a horse is not naturally inclined to stop at a particular place. Combine that with the fact that when they are running they are fast enough to be at the fence or at least too close to stop in time to keep from going over it and suddenly they are loose and the electric fence is keeping them out.

No offense to fellow horse lovers that dogs are smarter than horses. Intelligence wise dogs are overall. Particularly in this matter. But shoot there are animals that are smarter than humans when it comes to spatial memory. The civet can remember the exact location of everything in its pen after going over it twice, even in absolute darkness (something they naturally and immediately do when put in a new pen).
