Does anyone with well trained Weims have success with electronic fences?
I have a 10-year old blue and a 3-year old grey Weimaraner. Both are very well behaved. We're moving from a 1/4 acre fenced to 2 acres where we can't have a physical fence. The dogs recall is fine and I have no problem spending the time on training. The grey if highly wildlife motivated, but will reluctantly give up pursuit. The blue is content with being glued to me. I'd never have them outside unsupervised based on size and speed. Think I could make an electric fence work?
Also, how do people in the midwest get Weims their exercise in the winter?
I know one family that it works fine and my neighbor had put one in and it didnt. I think its the training and MAINLY the WILL of the dog at whatever has his attention.
