Furminator Yellow Dog

Furminator question, grooming the cat and dog!?

I have a yellow lab and 4 cats. I got the medium furminator and Ive since used it on everyone. Its been 3 days and the cats are shedding and so is the dog. How often do I use the furminator and for how long each pet? They all love it!

I would do it it at least every other day (every day for long-haired breeds), and do it until you stop getting an appreciable amount of hair in the brush.
