Any ideas for keeping the dog off of my new leather sofa?

Just wondering the best way to keep my 50lb dog off of my new sofa. I can't just stay in the room and watch her all day and it is a little impractical to crate her every time I leave the room! Any suggestions?

It would help to know if she was permitted on the old non-leather sofa.
