Leather Leash

is there a leash that is indestructible to iguanas?

my iguana weights 25 lbs and is 6 ft long and I've bought those nylon leashes for iguanas at Petco, and dog harnesses etc. and he manages to pull hard enough to snap them or slip out of them. I've even tried making my own leash out of leather but he persists to find a way out of them. It's the only way I can transport him to the vet without hauling a huge carrier that won't fit in my car. Any suggestions?
I have tried everything that he couldn't possibly slip out of, but since he doesn't have shoulders like mammals do, he kind of slithers out of the harnesses.

Hi Victoria, to let you know im quite interested in your question lol.

Try buying a long metal chain used for necklaces but any metal chain would work as long as its firm .And try making a leash or harness that wraps around his body.First you need chains that can lock and unlock with thoes locks on necklaces or in the form of thoes.
Get the length of his neck and secure it on and have 2 more going down his body back and front.Along with another ring wrapping around his tail ,something like this: (-----(=>
So basically 2 loops head and tail and 2 long ones running down his body connecting the 2 loops,this mighgt sound complicated but ill keep him from ripping it up and getting out.

Also its not expensive!(Well there ones at your local hardware store that are used for locking up out of bounds places which are like 4 bucks per 2 metres which is much prefered by me since i just put 4 mins thought into it).

And thats basically all that needs to be done worth about 10 bucks or less you save yourself alot of money!Hope i helped!
