Does anyone else think the NVG's in the CoD MW2 Prestige edition seem like a rip-off?
I mean, I know many people get real hyped up about the news, but for $150, I don't think it will be that great. Military grade NVG's can go up to a grand or 2 so these will probably just a plastic pair of goggles with green lenses and a light. But I don't know, what do you guys think?
The night vision goggles(hereby referred to as NVG) in MW2 Prestige Edition are low quality. You're right, they obviously aren't military grade. Take note of the MW2 prestige edition NVG's technical specifications. It's MAXIMUM range of operation is 50 feet approx. 15 meters. Fifteen meters is the farthest you can see in the dark. Which is horrible. On REAL NVG the minimum range is sometimes 15 meters. Almost ALL NVG that are actually worth it have a minimum range of 1-15 meters and a maximum range of INFINITY. Real NVG can make darkness into light at OVER 500,00,00,000,000 times the distance of the ones in the prestige edition. As weird as that may sound, it's a fact. The NVG are cheap, and that fun kind of thing you would give to an 11 year-old so he can run around the house at night time giggling. Don't get prestige edition, save your money.
Unless you want the NVG for their MW2 sticker. Keep in mind, just a sticker.
