Homemade dog treats for puppies?

My puppy is 4 months old and doesn't really like the all natural treats we've been giving him. I'd really like to make him some homemade treats, but is it okay to give him treats made from people food at such a young age? Would it be bad for his digestive system? Or should he stick to puppy treats from the pet store? Recipes would also be great. Thanks!

Making dog biscuits and treats for your dog/pup is better than any shop bought products and so much cheaper. You can use good quality ingredients, where as shop bought you really don't know what is in them.I use rice flour rather than wheat flour and dogs don't tolerate wheat and if they do their body gets no nutrient value from it...but you can use potato flour or rolled oats.....you can add fresh chopped parsley or mint for fresh breath biscuits or 6 crushed brewers yeast tablets with ones that have garlic in for flea, tick, worm repellent

2¾ Cup. Rice flour
½ Cup. Powdered milk
¼tsp. garlic powder
1 egg
6 Tbs. vegetable oil
8-10 Tbs. water
2 small jars strained baby food (beef, chicken, lamb, or liver)
Mix all ingredients together and knead for 3 min. Roll out to 1/2 inch thick. Use a dog bone shaped biscuit cutter, and place biscuits on an un-greased baking sheet.Or roll out and bake and cut in aquares afterwards Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 min.

½ cup rolled oats
6 tbsp Oil
2 cups rice flour
cup water or broth or juices from a cooked joint of meat
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients together well. Roll
out to 1/4 inch thick. Cut into desired shapes with biscuit cutter/or cut into tiny pieces after cooked.
Bake 35-40 mins, let cool and store in tightly sealed container.

Garlic Liver treats
Fresh liver
2 gloves of garlic
Just enough water to cover the liver in a saucepan, cover pan with tight fitting lid, bring to the boil, once at boil switch off, (don't open the lid) leave to go cold, remove liver from saucepan and cut into tiny pieces ( juices can be poured on your pups dinner) place on an open tray and freeze, once frozen put into a sealed plastic container...just take out what you need and keep the rest frozen.
