Shutting the door: When my dog lays on her side and I pet her head she opens her legs. Can this be stopped?
I never thought of this as a "thing, but it makes one of the girls in my office ( I Misty my dog to work with me every day) uncomfortable and she is always telling Misty to "shut the door", so I just wondered if this was a common problem, with an easy solution.
Misty is great dog who minds me and the people in my office very well. I take her everywhere with me and I like her to be welcome and well received is all.
Why do you want her to stop? It's a thing dogs do..

The kids were taken care of with last years costumes. But, this year my husband and I needed costumes. With the party we were planning, we had to have special costumes. After the girls are done going door to door they are going to grandmas for the night so we can have our party. I checked the local costume shops and decided I wasn't going to pay such a high price for costumes. Since we are only gonna wear it for one night, I don't want to spend too much on them. I really felt like a heel, not getting the kids costumes for this year. We thought there was no way we could buy for the girls and us. I thought about renting a couple of costumes for me and him, but that wasn't very cheap either.
I decided to go online and see if I could find something less expensive. I'm so glad I did. There were quite a few cheap costumes for adults and kids. I couldn't believe how cheap they were. I found the greatest costumes for the girls. The kids were very happy when I told them they could pick out new costumes. They kept going over and over the selection and changing their minds on what they want to be for halloween. I know it's hard to decide when you have so much to choose from.
I turned my sister on to this website for costumes for her family. There is also a great selection of accessories and halloween décor to choose from that will be great for our party. We should be able to get our adults costumes for next to nothing. The prices are so cheap. We checked out every costume on the site. They had everything from funny to gross looking costumes. The first costume we considered was the hippie couple. Then we moved on to consider a cave couple and jungle man and woman. We opted for the Fred and Wilma Flintstone costumes.
My first born decided to go as a witch. The younger of my two girls chose the wizard of oz character, Dorothy. So, we all were able to order costumes for halloween. Even our little dog gets to dress up for the occasion. There was a selection of dog costumes for halloween too. Our sweet little dog will be the Flintstones pet, Dino. We figured that would match up well with our costumes.
After our costumes arrived we all had to try them on. They were a perfect fit and we all looked so awesome. Even the dog looked adorable. We had to have one picture of all of us dressed up before putting the costumes away for trick or treat night. My sister decided to order her families' costumes from the store I bought ours at. There are so many costumes at such great prices that they were really surprised. With four kids to buy for, this online costume shop really helped out.
We also bought a lot of our halloween decorations and party supplies from the online store. We bought a neat bloody door cover warning people not to enter. We decided to order a pumpkin that blinks on and off and a bunch of spooky window clings for the house. My husband went on a decorating frenzy and did the whole house and yard in halloween decorations. I have to admit, it did look pretty good. We also ordered the usual halloween stuff, like spiders and eyeballs and of course plenty of streamers. Everything is ready for our halloween bash and our little trick or treaters are all set up too. With the prices so low at this online store we could get an adult costume for both of us and the kids. This halloween we're really gonna out do ourselves.
