i'm looking to tent camp on the beach at wrightsville beach (NC) . Just for tomorrow night. is it okay?
I work a night shift and get off too late in the day to check in at a camp ground. i just want to be able to tent camp out on the beach. i won't be lighting any campfires, making any noise, or bringing any pets. I would like to know if Wrightsville Beach is okay with this. If not, then which NC beach would allow this? I will only be there tuesday night and will be leaving wednesday night.

Every trip requires many decisions. Where shall we go? Shall we take the children? Do we travel by car, by plane, or by train? Sometimes, reaching these decisions can be painstaking; and if either the husband or wife gives in, and the decision turns out badly, the temptation to say "I told you so!" is almost irresistible.
The thing to do is make every able-bodied member of the family involved and responsible for the trip.
Destinations and expectations
The first step is to hold a family conference on where to go and what to do. Discuss the expectations involved in the trip and the destination.
The next step is to hold rehearsals, if you wish. This is most effective when your children are still young and are clueless on what to do. If you are going camping, pitch a tent in the backyard, and sleep in it, just as you expect to do on vacation. Cook meals over a campfire, too. Be sure that every one in the family has his or her own chores to perform and understands the discomforts as well as the joys of the great outdoors.
Expenditures
Most vacations cost more than anticipated. Questions arise: Who lacked the foresight or who has spent too much money? How are the bills going to be paid? Unless you are prepared for the worst, you are likely to become panicky as the money evaporates; husband and wife may start accusing each other of extravagance. Every vacationing couple should make a detailed budget, listing everything from shelter and meals to souvenir postcards and trinkets. Once the necessities have been taken care of, assign a definite spending allowance for each family member.
Vacation and the mother's role
Counselors have observed that vacations are hardest on the wife, especially if she is also a mother. One trouble with most vacations is that the mother gets no relief; she simply has the same housekeeping and cooking duties under conditions more trying than those at home.
To liberate wives, a "dual vacation" is suggested – the regular annual family trip followed by two or three glorious days in which the children are left at home with a baby-sitter or relative, then husband and wife go off to a place where the wife can sleep late, lounge around the pool or beachside, nap, eat out, and in general recuperate from the rigors of the other trip.
Don't be too uptight
Many vacations fail because people try too hard. Men in particular often go at their vacations with the same intensity that they devote to their jobs. It is not unusual for a man to get his family up at daybreak, drive 500 miles and then hurry to set up camp before night falls. It's no wonder that this man and wife are soon screaming at each other.
Plan a shorter trip, drive fewer miles each day, pre-plan the stops. Avoid the worry of finding a place to stay.
People often have very strong feelings about vacation-time activity. If a wife is fed up with cooking, the husband is well advised to take her to restaurants for vacation meals. If a husband may want nothing more than to sit quietly at a resort poolside and catch up with his reading, the wife can go sight seeing or shopping for local goods.
Children's activities
Young children are easily bored on a long automobile or plan ride. Make sure that you have something for them to read or games to play.
Pets
If you or your pet can't last a day without each other, make sure that your vacation accommodation is pet-friendly, otherwise, leave them with a friend, relative or veterinarian.
Couple privacy
Many couples fail to plan for privacy. Instead, they commit themselves to sleeping in the same tent, camper or hotel room with the children. At least, plan an occasional night alone, with the children in a separate room.
