Dog grooming question?

I'm 18 and want to go into dog grooming for a career in a few years. I was wondering what the pros and cons are, coming from the opinion of experienced dog groomers.

The biggest con that I know of ( I am not a groomer but know some)is it is hard on your back after years of it. You are lifting dogs constantly, working on your feet, and bending over a dog hours a day. You also have to get your hands wet and exposed to soaps all of the time and that can be irritating to your skin. It is a great way for some people to work with animals though and if you are good the tips can be really great. And you can work for yourself and do it anywhere you go. That is a really great Pro.

But surveys and statistics confirm that dogs given appropriate training with a positive reinforcement technique are at a better position of understanding their keepers without compromising on their enjoyment factor.

Positive reinforcement in the form of "rewards" to a dog can help develop positive and long term behavior patterns in a dog. A dog being rewarded for a task is at a better position to understand the importance of the task than one who is punished for not completing a task.
