Which harness is the best for Yorkshire Terrier?

I have heard that Yorkies should wear a harness when walking. Now my question is which is a better harness for my 9 month old Yorkie - "Puppia Soft Harness" or leather "Buddy Belts"?

Awesome! It's nice to see more people using harnesses. My two Yorkies have always used Nylon harnesses. They are great for training too. Just get one to fit your baby well. Not too big, not too small. Just right! There are all kinds of sizes. What we like about the Nylon harnesses is he has worn his since he was 3 months old and is now 5 years old and still uses the same harness. The Nylon harnesses adjust with the growth of your baby. You just adjust it according to their size. You want it to be snug, but not tight. Our trainer told us to always make sure we can still slip our fingers in between our little guy and the harness.Good luck!!

Training my Puppy with a Puppia Soft Dog Harness?

Has anyone used these?
I am thinking about getting one to help leash train my 4 1/2 month old puppy. He has a collar right now and is not doing very well with it. I was hoping that maybe if it was a little more comfortable for him that he would be better with learning to walk on the leash.

He is a german shepherd lab mix. Right now he is a couple of inches shorter than my border collie. I don't really want him to pull anything...I just want something more comfortable for him to wear while taking walks on a leash.

How big a dog?

Dogs use a harness to pull a sled and horses use a harness to pull a plow. So if you want your dog to pull something I guess a harness is what you need.

Key words in the above post are "chihuahua mix". With dogs that small a harness can be a good alternative.
