How can I put spikes in this pair of Oxford shoes I have?

I'm trying to accessorize a pair of Oxford shoes with goth/punk accessories like spikes or studs.

if you go to any good craft or hobby store, they usually have a section for stuff about leatherworking, including hole punches for putting holes in leather. they are a lot more hardcore and heafty than a regular hole punch, because they are made to go through leather. find out how big of a hole you need to make to get the stud through, then go look for a leather hole punch in the correct size.
