Plush Dog Toy
I have a dog daycare and would like to decorate for the holidays. What decorations would be appropriate?
Right now a have white lights with both Christmas and Jewish dog toys up on the window. I cannot find toys from other backgrgounds to put up to make it a multi-culture theme. Any ideas? I could even do different colored plush toys if colors would help!

How do I wash my dog's stuffed/plush toys?
I've noticed that some of my dog's plush toys look kind of dirty so I want to wash them but how do I do this? Can these plush toys (all of them have squeakers in them) be put in the washing machine and then in the dryer or should I just squeeze the water out and leave them to dry?
when i put them in the washing machine, should i put the setting to hot or cold water?
I put all my dogs toys in the washer and dryer.
It doesn't seem to matter.
But sometimes the stuffing all gets pushed to one side and you have to even it out my messing with the toy a little.
Is your dog's toy just a toy, or is there more to it? When you are frustrated, how do you decompress? We all need a release, and a dog's toys are their means of doing just that.
DOGS ARE CHEWERS
Dogs by nature like to chew. This is especially true when they are stressed. And, rather than have them chew on your favorite sneakers, or the corner of the couch, it's best to have a variety of chew toys at the ready. A variety of toys is a good thing because, as with us, doing the same thing over and over can become boring. So it is with dogs. In fact, it is best not to put all of their toys out at once. What is advisable is to rotate the availability of their toys. By rotating their toys, they will retain a freshness and variety. This is not to say that certain toys will not become favorites. Favorite toys will give a sense of comfort and familiarity, thereby easing stress, for the same reason small children may have a favorite blanket, but still use other toys.
CHEWERS DIFFER
As we know, some dogs are light chewers, and some are heavy chewers. Therefore, knowing what kind of chewer you have will help in the selection of toys you provide. A plush toy, or one made of a thin rubber is probably not the best choice for a heavy chewer. Heavy chewers are better off with chew toys made for their strong chewing needs, like the Nylabone Galileo. Kong, also makes a variety of chew toys for all levels of chewer. And let's not forget that some chew toys are beneficial beyond just relieving the urge to chew on something. Dental chews can provide needed stimulation to promote healthy gums and freshen breath. Toys with some kind of rope, or string attached, will help to clean teeth, similar to flossing.
TOYS FOR MANY USES
So, as we can see, toys have more value than just play. A variety of toys will help relieve stress, improve dental health, and, perhaps, save the furniture. Remember, your dog deserves the best.
